About Rank.ke
Rank.ke helps Kenyan businesses see what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Mode tell their customers, and who gets named instead.
Who builds it
Rank.ke is built and run by WPfoss (opens in a new tab), a Kenyan web and SEO company in Nairobi. The company behind it is WP FOSS LIMITED.
Your customers now ask AI which business to use, and you cannot see the answer it gives them. Rank.ke asks those questions for you, keeps every answer and shows who is named instead, so you can see where you stand and what to fix.
Rank.ke shows an organisation how visible its brand is in Google Search and in AI answers, and how that compares with competitors. Next to AI visibility it has keyword research, rank tracking, site audits and reports from your own Google Search Console and Google Analytics. There is a Free plan and a Pro plan, priced in US dollars: see pricing.
How the AI visibility score works
- Rank.ke asks the questions customers ask, on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode.
- Each answer is marked Cited (the brand is named and its site linked as a source, 1 point), Mentioned (named without a link, 0.5) or Absent (0).
- The score is the average of the answers actually recorded, out of 100.
- Every answer is kept, so the score can be checked against what the engine said.
- ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode are asked from Kenya. Claude and Gemini cannot be pointed at Kenya, so Rank.ke labels them "Not location-specific".
- Up to 50 questions and 10 brand terms, run weekly, monthly or on demand, on the Pro plan.
Monthly research
Every month we ask ChatGPT the same 50 buying questions Kenyan customers ask, from Kenya, and publish every answer: who it named and which websites it relied on.
